Question 1995 V6, $2500. Deal or no deal?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the mustang world(or will be soon, hopefully). Anyways, here's my set up. And buddy of mine has a repossessed car out of Indiana. It's a V6 with 88,000 miles on it, an aftermarket air intake system in it, and no apparent damage aside from a little cosmetic work it needs. It runs amazingly except for a controller in the fan needs to be replaced which he will be replacing for me. I'm 17 years old and will be paying for this all my own, I have my grandfather looking it over and over and over(40 years with ford, 20 years driving mustangs) so I think he'll be able to help me out a good bit.

Anyways, I wanted a second, third and forth opinion. Is this a good deal and should I go with it?

Auto, all original miles. The only thing is that while idling my temp gauge went sky high and the radiator started boiling D:
But the guy who's selling it to me will be fixing that before selling it to me for no charge thankfully.

And thanks

i paid $3000 for my 2000 stang with 110k miles and just needed an exhaust manifold. price seems a little high for a 14 year old car that has cooling problems. you dont know if or how badly it was overheated by the previous owner. and make sure the title is ok if it was repossessed. thats a lot of money to throw down at 17 so be sure you make the right choice

Yea you really gotta watch out for the head gaskets on those years. Might be a bit pricey but it is a fairly low mile car
