Default Mybe this was flood car at one time

I used to an insurance adjuster. All thse weird things, like the windows, locks and electrical stuff sounds like the car went down the creek one day long ago.

I would definietly take it to another shop for a second opinion.

what gets me is that its only 8 or 9 years old and in S. Cal. My last car, a ford probe I kept for 11 years and when I sold it it still looked and operated like new. Everyone who saw it said it was extreamly clean. There was nothing wrong with it. Not that it never needed any repairs, it did. And its matinence too. But not to the extent of the problems this dude's car is having. I agree with your assessment that the previous owner must have suffered some sort of disaster with this car to have thrashed it so.

no no no. they mean an actual DISASTER like a flood or such. maybe it was in hurricane katrina. i heard they were pulling those cars out cleaning them and shipping them up. big time illeagal. thing is when i read your first post i thought this car must have water damage.
my husbands 1994 had a bad electrical harness but that wouldnt account for the bad sensors and such. little things like your antenna and bumpers are cosmetic and can easily be fixed from a pull apart lot. tons of mustangs out there.
i have a 2003 with 90k and it runs perfectly. this car has benn thrashed. dont buy from that dealer friend. he just wants to move a car and doesnt care if you cant afford it. what a jerk.

Our town has a 72 hour Ordnance. Some neighborhoods seem to get checked more often than others. But if they suspect a car is parked for over that, they write on the tires and street with yellow chalk to record the position of the car and the rotation of the wheel. Leave a warning note on the windshield. Then come back in 3 days and if it is still there, its gone with the hook. Two weeks would be relaxing. Could go on vacation with your car on the road and not worry. Well.... about the city anyway.

sry i havent been posting about the car but here is the low down on it

i couldnt any of the parts in the junk yards because none of them have 99-04 stangs anymore

but i hit one of the dealers near by an they said they have the part im looking for but i have to buy the whole thing an cant get just a peice of it(like the hose im looking for) they want 280$ for the whole canister purge valve system and 80$ for the purge valve solanoid

so after i get all that i'll hit up a trusted shop to take care of everything else for the car an then i should be set for a lil while

hmmm could be another leak some where

but my dad says its either the fuel filter or one of my spark plugs because it hesitates like it's not getting air or the proper fuel into the engine

idk im still lost but tomorrow i'll check for another leak first then change the filters later on next week(wish i was a mechanic)

you know how to check for a leak right? spray brake cleaner on the lines and if the engine sucks it in itll rev up a bit and you know you found your leak... since that idle's kinda rough and strangely low like that id guess thats probably your problem tho it could be any number of other problems..
