What year is your mustang? If you have a 05+ then it would be 2 cams and Im not sure who would offer cams for that motor.

I've done a head and cam swap on my 02 and I had pretty good results from it. My numbers are in my sig. I got the heads and cam from Super Six Motorsports and I would recommend them to anyone.

Yeah the 94-04 3.8L v6's were OHV motors, but the 05+ 4.0L is a SOHC modular motor. If you could find cams for yours it would probably give you decent numbers but honestly it would respond better to mild boost.

I thought the 94-04 v6s were a SOHC, maybe i just read my manual wrong but im pretty sure its got an over-head cam.

Correct me if im wrong please as this is something that i have been seriously considering.

Im really wanting to keep my engine naturally aspirated but am shooting for around 250-300 hp realisticly but 350 would be ideal.

Would this be possible with just bolt ons and maybe a cam?

How much would i be looking at to do a mild cam as its a DD with 117k (km).

Cheers,
Ian

nope the 94-04 3.8L's are OHV (over head valve) engines meaning one cam in the center of the engine and it uses pushrods to move the lifters on both heads and open the valves. the only v6s that have SOHC are the '05+ 4.0L's so u have 2 camshafts one on each head.. that make sense?
also not many places sell cams for v6's the most popular suggestion is super six motorsports im sure if you contact them they can give you an idea what it would cost
