Default 1999 mustang transmision problems?

Hey everyone, my 99 mustang is a V6, 5 speed, and when I left work last night I had a bad rattling sound when I started the car. For a split second I thought it could of been the lower end (of the motor) but you could feel it in the shifter and the floor board. It ould go away and come back. It didnt matter if the clutch was engaged or not. It made this sound on its own free will. I adjusted the clutch pedal thinking it was in the tranny, and after that it was more constant. In gear or out it makes this sound. I can feel it in the shifter and definatly on the floor board. It is not the motor. This I know. Do you think the throw out bearing went out? There was no early signs, it just started doing it. Please help....

Ok.. My mechanic finally called me back after 4 phone calls. He said he believes its a throw out bearing cause the newer cars have the throwout bearing constantly spinning. Not like the older models. He says it will take 4 to 5 hours to replace. I am going to have him put in a new clutch kit, abviously cause the tranny has to come out. So I think I have my question asnwered. Thanks.
