I don't know why LRS is blocking you out... if you go on tire-rack, there are plenty of 17x8 wheels, with (+)24-25 offsets, and 5x114.3 (4.5") lug patterns - just look at the pic!

It seems LRS is worried about the offset, since their 17x8 selections for your car have offsets of 29-30. But the larger offset means the wheel is actually inward more - which is done to prevent a wider wheel from sticking outside your fender (which is illegal). LRS are probably concerned that the wider wheel will stick out of your fender (with an offset of 25), so they don't let you choose it. However, I say go for it!! I really don't think it will stick out that much... if at all.
If I remember right, the stock offset is 25mm, so your wheel will only be "growing" outward by half of the change in width. So, going from the stock 7.5" rim to the 8" rim would only add 1/4" to the outside - and there should be room in your fender for that!
Oh, and the tires should be 245/45-R17.
