They will change your exhaust note and your car will have some more growl
Good set of headers.

The stock headers are pretty efficient already, you won't see much bang for buck buying shorties. I think the money could be used better else where.

^True also, so you have a pro and con here. They will changer your exhaust note, but the bang for the buck is not so great as tex117 makes a valid point. Your stock exhaust manifolds do just fine.

only real reason to replace ur headers is if your headers are cracked due to fords smart move of placing the ac drip line in line with the headers

If you do replace them, you might want to consider longtube headers. I've only heard of mac making them, but they should give you better performance gains than the shorty headers.

That's what happened to mine, they cracked due to the ac drip line. Sounded like bacon in a fry pan with all that crackling

He lives in Cali, he won't be able to pass emissions with long tubes.

He might be able to pass then. That system would require custom fabrication and the cats would probably drag the ground alot.

You can get exhaust cut out's. Be sure to weld them in after the cats and before the mufflers. I will warn you though, you may lose hearing
I did this on my 01 V6 and then I took them off. Too much noise in and out of the cab.

You won't be able to pass california emmissions w/o cats.
If you want it to sound better then you should look into a cam.
