I did mine two weeks back followed by an oil change. Mine's at 47K and feels like it runs smoother than before.

seafoam is a good maintainence item; if you dont have a seafoam applicator, make sure you dont suck it in too quickly or you'll hydrolock your engine.
...I didn't know a seafoam applicator existed... wow. When I was doing it, me and my buddy were constantly joking about that possibility nervously. Thankfully, my car didn't hydrolock.
Maybe in the future, I just consult guru 232-K7 before I do anything before I destroy my mustang in a firey explosion.

Yea u should do it. i do it every other oil change to every oil change. I know it works because after using it twice i pulled the upper intake off and looked at the port holes... you could actually SEE where the seafoam had done its work by removing most of the carbon deposits... there was still some black though.... in some port holes more than others, but thats normal. ur not gonna find something that cleans ur engine much better than that! Anyway, i also notice that the engine runs perty smooth after putting somein and doing the oil change... and like everyone say put it into the crank before changing the oil, u can just imagine where all the gunk from the intakes go... i usually put it in the engine the day BEFORE i change my oil just so all that crap gets accumulated into the oil and it has time to do its work while u drive for a day.... that way, when u do ur oil change it all comes out...well.. most of it anyway. Hope this helped?

this is the one i use; the ones i use at work look a little different but it's basically the same thing. notice it has a vented valve in the line that controls how much fluid gets sucked in. it also has a "cheater valve" built into it, but you dont wanna use that...

in case anyone was wondering, here is a website that sells the applicators:
(2nd product in the lineup) BG Company
Sweet deal, thanks for the tip and links to that site, I'll definitely be using that for next time!

wait, i thought you could put sea foam in after an oil change too. becuase i had an oil change maybe 100 miles ago and just this weekend i put 7 oz of sea foam in where the oil goes. is that bad? and i was planing to put the rest of the can in my gas tank with my next fill up. im assuming thats bad too?

the idea is to put the seafoam in to get rid of the buildups.. but then those buildups end up still being in ur engine just now theyre flowing around in your oil thats the idea of changing oil afterward to get rid of that crap that came out.. ur only supposed to go like 150 miles max after seafoaming the oil i think..
oil. new advanced auto parts just opened and they had a sale. it was 5 quarts of valvoline synthetic and a fram oil filter for $25 hummm i hope the sale is still going on
