Default what kind of oil should i use?

i have a 2000 v6 with 79k miles. i was wondering what type of oil i should use. i heard straight synthetic could be bad for it because of the miles but a lot of people have been recommending synthetic blend. i need help

I wouldn't use syn with 80k on the engine. Synthetic is so strong that it will eat up all the oil films in the engine, thus the car becoming an oil burner.
