Hey y'all -

As you have seen from my other threads, I recently received a 2004 Ford Mustang as my first car. At first, I thought that maybe it had the 40th Anniversary Package on the car, but after looking around and seeing that such a limited number of them were made, I am not so sure. So my question is.... Do I have the limited edition 40th Anniversary Package Mustang?

The Mustang is Oxford White, which was one of the package colors. I have the "40th Anniversary" emblem too on the side of the car. Also the hood seems to be different than any I have seen, instead of the dip in the hood facing out towards the front, it faces towards the windshield (As seen in the following link.... http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../04Mustang.jpg). The seats are two toned, dark grey/grey and there is also no spoiler (Which was also part of the package).

Most importantly, the Mustang has a 3.9L V6, which wasn't produced until the second half of the year (If I am correct).

the hood youre talking about was originally found on the 01 cobras i believe and they decided to make them stock on the 03-04 v6's so that part isnt exactly special

Heres the info:

"The 40th Anniversary Edition package was available on V6 and GT models. It came in three colors including Black, Oxford White, and Crimson Red, which was only available on the 40th Anniversary models. They came with premium wheels, 40th Anniversary floormats, body-colored fold-in mirrors, and Arizona Beige stripes on the rocker panels, hood, and trunk. They also came standard with the interior upgrade package which included larger headrests and silver interior trim".

All '04 mustangs are 40th anniversary and have the badges but there was also a seperate package that included the items above.

It looks like yours is the normal stang because of the mirrors and no stripes. The hood you have is standard on the v6 mustangs. If it had the v6 pony package, it would have a raised scoop facing the other way, a spoiler, and polished wheels.

Nice hood. I would trade my GT hood for an 04 V6 one just because it's the same as the 01 Cobra's.

I'm still not up on my 04 Mustangs, but I'm learning. haha. Thanks for the compliments on the Mustang, I am going to add some stripes over the weekend so Ill be sure to post some pictures afterwards.

agreed.. although i already have the 01 cobra hood so i dont have to worry haha i love that hood tho it just looks so mean
