I have a 2003 v6 mustang and I've been considering a GT hood scoop or some xenon window scoops. I wanted to ask about where I could get a GT scoop and what I would need to do to install it. Also, I'm afraid I might get a bit too ricey with my body mods, so tell me if you think I'm going overboard. I was also looking into adding some black stripes to my mustang, it's dark shadow gray. Any opinions are welcomed.

you might not be able to use a hood scoop.. if you have the same hood i have that came on my 03 then you have the vent hood not the usual v6 scoop hood.. i think all 03 v6s came with the 01 cobra hood not sure tho if some of them had one hood while others had the other.. get some pics up of your stang

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. The hood looks really good without the scoop anyway.

what do you think of the xenon window scoops on a v6? Too ricey?

Not all 03/04's came with the 01 cobra hoods, some have the hood scoop because ford decided that it became so popular when the 01 bullits came out with the hood scoop, that they would make it for the V6's and GT's from factory.

I don't currently have any pictures of the mustang hood, but I can describe it. It almost has a very small reverse scoop on it. It has an indention like other mustangs right in front of where the scoop would normally go, but it rises back up about a foot and a half away from the end of the hood, if that makes any sense.

i wast talking about your car in general get some pics up and show it off .. yeah you have the 01 cobra hood i wouldnt go messin with it if i were you.. i love the look.. but im biased lol

wait.. the way you described it it sounds like my hood but the one you pointed out is the regular v6 hood.. is it the small scoop or the vent?

It would be easier if I could get a pic of the '01 cobra hood, I can't find one. Do you have one?

the hood in that picture is the cobra hood

Then that would be the 01 Cobra hood if it were to look like that one in the pic.

Still, what would you guys think of some black stripes and some window scoops? I need some outside input.

im a little iffy about stripes on that kind of hood im not sure that the lines of the stripes work too well with the lines of the hood.. however roush does make stripes designed specifically for that kind of hood

p.s. i also think that xenon window scoops plus side scoops would look amazing but thats just me

Honestly, I would skip the window scoops. The stripes aren't a bad idea
