I was told yesterday that I may have an exhaust leak which kinda caught me off guard cause I've never had to deal with that problem before. I don't know how to look for it and now that I've thought about it it kinda makes sence. My car doesn't have the best exhaust note and I feel like I lose compression when I really step on the pedal. Help please!

Visually inspect your exhaust. Check to see if all the bolts in your exhaust are still there (may have fallen out) and tighten them if loose. You can kind of pinpoint where the leak is by the sound when you give it some throttle...it will sound like a very fast ticking sound or if the leak is big enough, it will be just plain loud in that area.

If you dont seen any loose bolts or any missing, then start the car. Clog both tips with rags....make sure no exhaust is coming out of the tips. Then get under the car and if you dont see anything, just feel around with your hands. See if you can feel warm air hitting your hands then youll know where it is. Good luck man
