So I went to a local muffler shop last week to see about an annoying rattling sound emanating from my side-exhaust. I thought my Roush side exhaust had simply dismounted but the tech advised me that the exhaust mount was fine but I have a blown muffler on the passenger side (internal rattle). I currently have a set of Magnaflows but he recommended a new set of Dynomax mufflers--saying that they sound "infinately better" than the Mags. I read about a lot of V6 Mustang owners at AFM talk about their Flowmaster 40s or 44s but I wanted to take a poll to find out what ya'll think about some of the different mufflers out there. I'd luv to hear what ya'll think before I make a decision. Thankx
i have flowmaster 40's on my stang i love the sound nice and low, but its your choice like others say look up youtube videos and pic ur favorite, but my advice to cut out ur y pipe and add an x or h pipe or true duals, it will sounds better than keeping the y pipe
I dont know about the v6 exhaust. If you are going to redo it you should look on youtube for sound clips.
Thanks GTchris, I've checked out a few clips on youtube already. From what I've heard so far, the Dynomax & the Flo's sound ok but I think I want something with a lil bit deeper growl.

Thankx for the advice... I inquired about that while I was at the shop. The guy at the muffler shop is gonna fabricate & weld on a mandrel bent x-pipe for $150 when I go back to have the muffler(s) replaced.
*Best* hands down is Borla. The issue is that you also pay for the quality. So flowmasters are the most popular, and indeed what I'd run. But boy I'd kill to swap out for a set of Borla's.

Sound wise, no possible way. Borla sounds like I don't know ... ever heard obx exhaust on an j30a1?... well there you go
I would do Flowmasters, but I have Summit Mufflers on my V6 already, I have my 5.0 to be loud and obnoxious, it has flowmasters, so I don't want my DD to be that way.
