Hello, I'm new here but plan on becoming active in the forums and share what I can.

I just ordered an SCT X3 calibrator for my 2008 V6 mustang. So far I have a K&N Cold Air Intake along with a 70mm BBK throttle body. I also have a flowmaster muffler, which I dont think will effect any performance from the tune. The tune will be made from a mustang race shop down here called blowbyracing, I've seen a couple mustangs tuned from them. SCT says that the tune will give me up to 22 HP more, but with my current bolt-ons can i expect more?

im have a 2005 v6 and im wondering the same. i plan to get just about the same setup: sct x3, flowmaster 44s and not sure on the brand for the CAI yet. sorry i couldn't help. Im in the same boat.

From my understanding, the 22hp gain is a "best" that SCT was able to get from just the tune. Meaning that you should expect more of a gain with the cai, throttle body, and cat-back but not necessarily more than 22hp. What I mean is that if your car is already running well, then the tune may not get you the 22hp gain, but regardless you will see more of a gain from the tune than if you did not have the mods.

yes u should get alittle more out of it becasue when they say 22hp they don't have anything else on the car its stock so the program will tune ur cai and ur TB as well as ur exhaust. if u notice it say 22+

make sure to do a post on the tune shop there after you get your tune. for the guys looking for a cai and tuner, you cant beat the combo deals for about 500.00, like from tillman speed. sctx3 tuner/jlt cai/ 3 custom tunes of your choice. the jlt and the c&l cai`s really pack a punch
