seems like we got the same year

First find a shop that does custom turbo kits.

My turbo was off from a powerstroke (i think ) i paid 100 bucks for it, no shaft play

But b4 you turbo ur stang, how many miles you got?

you should really look into some gears/tlok or just swap ur 7.5 for a 8.8 with 3.73 gears

well it depends how much power you want, the stock rear end can withstand about 300 hp so if you dont go above that the stock rear end will be fine, but if u have the chance to upgrade to a 8.8 that you know is in good condition then do it

It has 115k miles on it but i jus rebuilt the top half of the motor.

Its a automatic also.....so should i jus snatch a rear end from a 95 GT an put it in there?!

Should have no problem getting the rear end and turbo, my dad works at pick a part.

And lets say I wanted to make the turbo kit myself. How would I be setting it up? Should I just do the same set up as the car im getting the turbo from?

yes that would be much better (to get the 8.8 rearend from a 95 GT) thats what im doin

you can put the turbo anywere you want. IMO i would just put it were the radiator resivor is at (just like the TMA turbo kit single street kit)

buy the intercooler kit with the cold side piping. Only piping you would have to fab up is the hot side.

and then just get all the other parts to make the turbo work

Ive been thinking about doing the same thing with my 04, how do you know if a junkyard turbo is in good condition or not? and the intercooler kit isnt a dirct fit right you have to do cutting and fab to make it work or no?

just see if there is any shaft play in the turbo (thats all i know or just buy a turbo off of ur local forum)

on some intercooler kits you do might have to do some cutting cuz i know they arent just a direct bolt on

ok, and what is a good size turbo for a daily driver? and how much house power would be gained from the 6-8 psi on stock internals?

I've heard 7-9 psi is what the stock internals can handle, as long as you upgrade the necessary fuel components. (Completely stock engine could only hold less than 5 psi of boost.) You will need a larger fuel pump (probably just go with 255 lph), slightly bigger injectors, one range colder sparkplugs (I think)...

HP estimates really depend on your engine... You're looking to gain anywhere from 50%-70% of your current rwhp. But a lot depends on what you already have done, whether or not you intercool, the efficiency of the turbo, etc. Sorry there are no hard answers for ya.

Just make sure you research some turbos first - they have compression/efficiency maps specific to each turbo. And those could help or hinder you...
