Default exhaust tip question

I already have an exhaust system on my 2000, duel flowmasters, but I do not know if I have true 40's and I want my stang to sound its best. So how can I tell if I have true 40's and do exhaust tips really make a difference in sound?

the ips wont do anything, just make it look different. there should be some kind of serial part number somewhere you could find that and type it in the flowmaster site and see what pops up

yeah there is a small difference you can make by putting bigger or smaller tips on the back.. but not really too huge a difference

lol you guys havent seen those hideous autozone exhaust tips that claim to add 5hp? the only reason some people believe that is because they make your exhuast a little louder...aka the "placebo effect".

yep i use to see them all the time when i was debating on buying one of those cop detectors from autozone but chicken out. Since autozone really isn't known for selling reliable parts.
