Default Supercharging V6 Help

Curently have a 02' v6 3.8l
I am looking for a supercharger for it but need some advice. Looking on ebay mostly for one but need to know if ones of a cobra and all would work and fit right. And all the spec. if anyone can help me out and if you can even find one/have one for me that'd be awsome. Looking to spend 1500$ tops.

I hate to say it but I'm not sure if its possible to only spend $1500 for everything you would need (plus labor if you can't install it yourself). D:

I'm not sure a V6 could really handle the amount of boost a Cobra blower puts out anyway.

I personally would say you're better off looking for power-adders designed specifically for your car's engine (like these: Mustang 3.8L V6 Performance Parts FREE SHIPPING!)

but like I said, only $1500 will make it extremely difficult, if not impossible.

I myself will have to wait several years to save up the money before supercharging my GT.

good luck!

Ya I can do it myself, also with a someone I used to work with at a shop whos a machanic. But by 1500 I mean more like for the intake and pull plus adp. and the larger injectors would be a plus number. but now as one person posted that it doesnt really change too much. maybe it'd be worth just getting a 302' and rebuilding it/dropping that into the girl. Damn cars always want more power but got to say i just picked the car up a week ago and i'm in love with it.

You can get a Cobra blower to fit but, you will need an adapter. Supersixmotorsports.com makes one. It is going to cost you $900 though.
If you are also thinking of a 3.8 Thunderbird supercharger, forget it. They will not fit a split port (99-04) motor.

For $1500 you can get a good nitrous system started. A 50 shot of that will go a long way.

The 302's are slower than your current motor. With any type of power adder, it is going to cost you money. Most dynotunes alone run about $500.00 or so......

its actually not that hard to find a cobra blower on craigslist for like...a grand. but the adapter, fule pump, injectors, dyno tune and all that jazz will run you another 1500-1700 bucks. you're looking at 2500 bare minimum.
