Default CAI, Shaker hood scoop, how to use both at the same time?

i've got a little problem, my 2001 V6 mustang came with one of those flashy looking hood scoops that doesn't do anything, just for show, and that bugs the **** out of me, now as with any good up grade the first thing i did was add a CAI, and a new exhaust, well now that i look into more upgrades to add HP here and there, i'd like to make my hood scoop useful by adding a shaker hood scoop to sit inside so A, it looks cool, while B its actually doing something besides sitting there, but heres my problem, i can't have both on at the same time sense they both do the same job, is there any piping i can make or buy that will alow me to use both at the same time with out messing up my set up too much. any ideas and suggestions will be greatly appriciated

so u want to use a cai and a shaker scoop... um.. a shaker does the job of a cai either way.. drawing cold air from right on the hood. the shaker is supposed to replace your cai setup completely.. to use the shaker youre supposed to cut out a spot in your hood so it can stick through which means eliminating the nonfunctional scoop on your hood right now anyway. i dont know why you would want to make both a fenderwell CAI and a shaker scoop fit onto your car though

Air enters the engine through the shaker and the CAI.
That black part you see going from the shaker to the CAI is where the air goes. It gets scooped from out side the hood and shoved over to the filter. You have to use a cold air intake with the shaker because the air has to go through the MAF and the throttle body.
The shaker is mainly just for looks. Even CDC's website says to expect only 2% increase in power. On a stock split-port V6 that is roughly 4 HP gained.

At a great effort and over 10 minutes in paint, I give you "the shaker workings."
