Hold down the brake, and hit the gas while still holding down the brake. Might have to slightly let off the brake, just a little though while keeping it floored.

It would kill your drivetrain before it would kill your brakes.

It'll kill your tires, too.

Probably the most fun burnout that I have ever been in the car for was in a buddies automatic saturn POS. He put it in reverse and got up about halfway throught the RPMs then jerked it down into drive and floored it. Oh what fun that was.
He did it alot until his grandpa told him that if he ruined the third transmission in a couple months he was not getting a new one.

My best burnout was in my s-15 Sonama pick up, 4 speed man. Drove up a hill, pushed the clutch in, rev'd it up and dropped the clutch as it was rolling down the hill. tons of smoke every where......then burnt the clutch up. Sucked but i also had a 94 Ranger to drive also that i didn't beat up.

it puts a lot of strain on the rear brakes, but unless you stand there roasting the pavement for minutes at a time i wouldnt worry about it.
