Default 1998 V6 Mustang-High perf fuel pump yes or no?

I have a 98 mustang. v6 It needs a fuel pump. My question is should i go with a high output fuel pump? i would like to add performance parts later on. can i go with the h.o. pump now or do i need to change anything else? Help will be appreciated!

Any opinion would be appreciated. I would like to put a chip in it. And what else can i do for performance.

well, yes go with a 255 walbro fuel pump. It could always be useful in the future. Screw the chip, get an sct tuner with a custom tune in it. Check out vmptuning.com for tuners with custom tunes. Depending on how much you wanna spend on your car, there are a ton of different ways you could go. So if you are really into performance, a goal and budget are recommended so we can help you a lil more than just

I would grab the pump from vmptuning.com the same place you get get your tuner. This is the correct pump for our cars and perfect if you want to go FI in the future.

thanks for the help the 255 wount fit ba 98 but i am taking your advice and will call them for a comprable fit for the 98. I will keep your profile as i am new at both car fixing and computers. the dangers of being retired.
