Default A.M cold air intake

Has any body ever bought the cold air intake from American muscle? If you have is it any good? And do you notice a change in the car? If you have any sound clips please send them to me, thanks.

I have it. It is as good or better than my friend's BBK model.
I noticed a slightly better throttle response. In terms of power, I couldn't tell you yes or no.
The exhaust does have a deeper growl to it now, and inside the car you can hear a wicked hiss from the air filter.

Yea id say its def worth the 80 bucks i spent. Not too much at all for performance but it looks good, and does have a pretty nice hiss like "redlyr" said.

So "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply in this situation?

ok, so i have the AM cai and for the first several days it 'hissed', but then it started to 'hiss', and then 'whistle' when i gave it a tiny more gas...is this normal for it to whistle too?

idk.. mine doesnt hiss normally.. only after startup when the engines still warming up or if i step on it i get a little bit.. other than that id never know it was there.. just make sure everything's tight and u dont have any leaks

ok. Yea, i checked for any leaks and it SEEMS to be fine, but the gasket that connects the lower part of the CAI to the Mass Airflow Sensor seemed to be a little loose. I found out that the 4 bolts were barely tight, so i tightened those up, thinking itd be good, but it still 'whistles'. Is it possible for it to be letting out air at that gasket?

if its still loose then maybe.. i think if it were leaking though that you would be feeling some sort of roughness and lack of performance and such

ah k..it seems like i got it tight now..before i could literally grab a bit of it and push it up and down, and now it doesnt seem to move around, so hopefully its sealed now...but its still odd that it whistles, as i thought the cai just made it hiss haha
