Default Exhaust mod question?

if i were to get an h-pipe with gt dual magnaflow 40's will i have to modify my rear bumper to make them fit? (3.8l v6 2000)

I mod'd my 2006 V6 with Pypes duals. The right side of my rear bumper had a cut out for the stock muffler. When I added duals, I had to cut a half moon out on the left side to fit the second tail pipe. There is a template on the Pypes website to make the cut out. It looks fine after the job is done. Can't tell any difference unless you get right up close and personal to the tailpipe.

Your other option is to buy a GT rear bumper cover that comes with both sides already cut out. Good luck.

what did u use to cut it...and will it tear up my bumper?

if u hang them in a way where the tips sit under the bumper it will be fine.. you dont necessarily have to cut your bumper.. alot of it is preference.. mine just hang under the bumper i didnt cut it.. u can see this pretty clearly in my gallery pictures..

ya it looks nice..plus easier to install...but do u ever have any problems with it hitting the ground?

nah not even close really.. its maybe an inch lower than if you had cut the bumper.. maybe if you have a monstrously tall curb that youre backing up to.. otherwise pretty much nothing to worry about
