Default Dyno a v6 Automatic..?

Okay I have an 01 v6 automatic, and im about to get 3.73 gears and a 7.5 track lock. Im going to get a tuner also (SCT X Cal 3)Everybody says that getting your car custom tuned on a dyno is def the way to go. My question is, Is it really worth paying for the dyno time? And will the operator of the dyno give me one custom tune? Id like an 87 tune for road trips to preserve gas, and a 93 tune for weekends and around town? Is this possible? I've tried looking for more information in AFM's previous discussions, and all around the internet, but still cant find awnsers to my questions. So any information, other than "The search bar is your friend" will be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend just getting a handheld tuner like the SCT or diablo from American Muscle. You can get multiple tunes like an 87, 89, or 93 octane. You can also readjust your speedometer when you get your new gears, too.

i dont think paying the extra money to get it dynotuned would be the best idea with the level of mods you have done.. yes it would provide the greatest power increases.. however im not sure that it would be big enough to justify going through the trouble.. if you were turbo or supercharging the car you'd have to but since you have basic bolt-ons i believe buying a custom tune online would probably be your best bet..
