Default Dang Headlight knob

I feel like such an idiot. Ive been trying for like 3 hours trying to get the headlight knob off of my '94. Ive tried everything, I've googled it and tried every possible tip. It Wont come off. If anyone has any tips i would greatly appreciate it. Im about to cut it off.

Well im not sure how different our headlight knobs are... but i had a hard time with mine too. I used a flathead screwdriver to press that rod on the inside and pulled on it at the same time. It took awhile to loosen it up. I had to tug on it pretty good. I finally pulled it off without breaking it and i was pulling on it so hard that when it came off i stabbed myself in the leg with the screwdriver. haha

Theres a little rectangle hole in the side of it. Inside of it i can see the rod that comes off of the actual switch and a small little clip

I just removed mine literally 20 minutes ago. I replaced it with a billet one from AM.

I fiddled with it for ten minutes with a screw driver... Then I got fed up with and gave it a good yank. It came off with no damage. It worked for me, but be careful. I have broke many objects in the past by losing my patience and doing the caveman shortcut.

I'm gonna try taking mine off by just tying a string to it and driving away while my friend holds the other end of the string... ya... that'll work

I've never had a problem pulling mine off. I usually used a small bent nail and just pull back right with the switch. If you are having to use a ton of force, you're doing it wrong.
