yea 1997 3.8. took off a destroyed rotor replaced it put old pads on(will be putting new ones on tomorrow just didn't have enough time).i let it bleed i compressed piston i put the brake pads back on and pumped the brakes yada yada yada... but i started driving tested out the brakes and all that and the rotor i replaced got extremely hot and smells like something was burning. i have no idea what its from. the only thing i can think of is i didnt put more brake fluid in it. any ideas?

You need to replace the caliper as well. Also, make sure your caliper pins are moving freely, or that will cause it too......
