Just heads will net you nothing unless you have all the supporting hardware. Rollers, cam, pushrods, etc......
If you want to pick them up for the future, that is fine if he can guarantee the heads are still not cracked. If you are going turbo in the future, you may have to go back and have them ported more, which will cost more money. You may also want to ask about the valve sizes. If they are too small, again, it would have to be re-valved. So you would be paying for additional head/valve work on a $400.00 set of heads that you could have spent $100.00 on, and had the same work done. If you had a small nitrous or forced induction project, they would probably be fine. Just bolt them on along with a ported lower and call it a day. But it seems like you are going to have this car for awhile and keep building on it......
