Ok so I live in NY and I want to get tints on my car. From what I have read its 70% on the front windows, no limit on the rear window as long as I have rear view mirrors (check!)

This may be a dumb question, but how will tints effect my ability to get inspection? and will it look dumb if i just get my rear window and quarter panel windows done and leave the front side windows regular?
Id like to do limo on the back and quarter...

the car belongs to you, do with it as you wish. but since you asked yes it will look awkard. without tints on the front. and yes as long as you have two side view mirrors, you can tint the rear windows as dark as you like. Meaning the two quater windows, and back glass. but do as you wish no one here drives it but you.

yes it will effect ur ability to get it safety inspected. i live in Houston texas and the legal here is 35% but i went slightly illegal and got 20% on all windows except the front window. i love it! it keeps my car cooler and it looks cleaner. makes it look more race-like

Not sure what the legal is where I live but I went with limo anyways. Just depends on how worried you are about getting harassed about it.
