Default 2005 V6 Mustang Jerky Transmission. Gas hog??

I just recently bought my 2005 v6 mustang coupe from carmax, in Nevada. I've been experiencing some issues that have been happening since the day i took her home- it hasn't made a diffence if its hot or cold outside, if i just started the car or if its been running awhile, I have had an oil change done, and gave carmax the car back expressing my concerns (just to have them tell me its running fine) but nothing else. Keep in mind i have been driving since i was 13- I know what i'm doing! My mustang likes to rev up WITHOUT the rpms moving. OK let me give a few examples: I'm driving, slowing down to stop, and w/o touching the gas, the car jerks like i'm pumping the brakes.... or i just start the car, put it in drive, barely touch the gas and the car jerks forward, its almost like when u hit the gas too hard and let off to compinsate for the over kill in the beginning, but i swear its not me. And just to know for myself that it wasn't me getting used to a new car- i had my friend who is a mechanic drive it and he agrees with me.....would this be the reason why its sucking down gas like a GT? i fill up my tank every other day and im only driving short distances! My 1997 convertible mustang got better gas mileage!! please help!!!
