Default 2001 Mustang V6, Exhaust Installation

i have an 01 v6 stang and i want to put flowmaster super 40s on it but i am confused on the stuff i need to get, is the exhaust that i want to put on a cat back and so i am asking do i need an H or X pipe if i was going to get this system or could i install it with out the pype and what is the difference between a cat back and a true dual

catback is from the catalytic converters back to the bumper and true duals is from the headers back without a y-pipe...so there is truly 2 different separate exhausts. still true duals with an x-pipe or an h-pipe i think.

the piece containing your catalytic converters and the y-pipe are considered the midpipe.. something that attaches behind the midpipe is considered a catback.. divorced duals (sometimes referred to as true duals) involve modifying the midpipe by cutting the y off and running separate pipes to the rear

probably will need to go to an exhaust shop and have make you a midpipe and then put flowmasters on

I have an 01 v6 and my set up is BBK shorty headers, custom off road h pipe and flowmaster super 40s..sounds good..got all my stuff done at a muffler shop so your on your own with all the mechanic stuff..haha but good choice on the exhaust..

Default Taillights and bumper

Does anyone know where i could get a gt rear bumper for and 01, and right now i have taillights on that have a huge space in between the bumper and the bottom of the taillights does that mean that the taillights are not oem

Default Noise in the Engine

i have a stock engine have done nothing to it but i can tell, that it doesnt sound like many other mustang engines, it is real choppy and weird noises in it and they are begining to make me mad so any help will be appreciated

how big of a space.. u can probably find one at a junkyard or on craigslist.. i suggest keeping your cats.. elaborate on these wierd noises and such

like loud crackiling noises and i dont really know how to explain the noises and when i accelerate it makes sounds that i dont know how to explain, it just doesnt sound like a mustang engine, and i bought it use so i dont know
