05 tiuron vs my stang?

My car is an 02 v6 auto and my younger brother has an 05 tiburon gt. His car is pretty quick but i recently raced 2 tiburons one GT and one 4 banger and i smoked both any opinions on why i cant beat my brothers? he has no mods to his car. my stang has a CAI on it and soon to have a 65mm throttle body and super 44 muffler. Think it will put his ricer in its place?

That's really weird... I mean if you beaten a Tiburon GT V6 already, and you claim his is all stock. You should be able to beat him. I raced against a supposedly tuned out Tiburon and I still beat the guy by a couple car lengths on a freeway run. Even if he has a manual transmission, it shouldn't really make difference either... The car is a little lighter, but you have way more torque than him from the get go.

Also, I'd probably invest into some 4.10 gears/T lock for your car. I hear the throttle body really doesn't make a big difference.

I'd go exhaust, and possibly a tune for a option?

Are you going duals? or just a single?

you should be wiping the floor with stock tiburons, they flat out suck.

i think the reason is we did a rolling start when i raced my brother and he was using his autostick feature

on the hyundais, when using sport mode, all it does is trigger the solenoids manually. doesnt make the car any quicker, it just gives the driver the joy of "manually" shifting his sonata, tiburon, entourage, whatever.....

the computer can always do it better, though...
