LOL ok so My girlfriend's father is a Chev man, he always boasts about his '85 Camaro and bashes my '05 4.0L. Tonight he was in quite a drunken state when he bet me that he could beat my car in a quarter mile driving his daughter's '03 civic.
The Civic:
I believe it is just a stock 5 speed, 4cyl with some aftermake cold air intake.
The Ford:
my mustang is a 5 speed 4.0L with a KNN cold air intake, 70mm throttlebody with a Steeda spacer, Dynomax X-pipe Dual exhaust with GT stock mufflers, and it has been custom tune from SCT.
Now I bet him 100$ I feel like I have a pretty fair shot, or am I out 100$?
you should easily win...personally i would have taken advantage and bet more then a 100...but launch good no spinning the tires and you have it in the bag

my advice, dont even slam it off the line, just ease into it if you dont know how to launch. spinning like mad might cause you to lose, however if you ease into it then you will win outright anyway. i believe a stock civic si (if it is an si) of those years ran mid 16's. your car should run about 15 flat with your mods at least, maybe even 14's assuming a good launch. factor in an easy launch, youre lookin at 15.1ish against his 16's

then after you beat that stupid little civic and take his 100 bucks, go double or nothin against his camaro. practice your launches (rev the engine up to about 3K, then launch from there, easing into the throttle AS MUCH AS YOU CAN without wheelspin) and take him for another 100 bucks

Oh on the topic of the Camaro I forgot to mention that his 85 Camaro isnt original, he totally rebuilt it with a bored out 396 so I think its like a 406 LOL It would eat me up and **** me out haha

oh sorry no, not a track, but don't worry Im up here in Canada pretty much a Barren waste Land, there is a 1/2 mile straight away over a marsh we used, flat straight, dry, no one around. Id love to know my 1/4 time but I wont be getting that till the spring =/
