Default 2000 Mustang V6, CAI suggestions?

Hey everyone i have a 2000 v6 mustang and just a few mods liKe headers, custom h-pipe, dual cherrybomb exhaust, K&N air filter. But what are you all's suggestions on a Cold Air IntaKe? my friend said that its a waste of money that the K&N air filter is just as good and the extra money is pretty much just for an aluminum finish. is that true or will the Cold Air IntaKe actually get me some hp..? is it worth the money?

The CAI won't add much power over the K&N, but the aluminum finish is worth the $70.

It may ad a pony or two, but I doubt you'll feel it much. If you do, you may need to recalibrate your butt-o-meter.But it is worth the finish.

whenever u make a mod to your car you're gonna want to feel a big improvement so you will end up exaggerating any small gain so it feels like more.. hes just joking saying you shouldnt really feel much difference

Bingo!! We tend to be a little too optimistic with what we think our mods ad.

a straight metal tube will flow more air than crinkled rubber.

seeing as how you already have a k&n filter, you'll probably gain like another 2hp by installing the cai.

Go to American Muscle. They're a sponsor to this site. You can PM them (I think the user name is AMNick) for a 6% discount. I can't stand credit cards, cause too many bankruptcies, but they seem to be getting more and more necessary. I guess you could always drive to Pennsylvania and pay them with cash, but the waste in gas would be even worse financial management.
