It a mechanism within the center housing of the rear axle which closes the differential & locks the (2) rear wheels together. This allows a car with a closed diff (differential) to spin/smoke
BOTH tires under hard acceleration
(instead of one-wheel burnouts typical of stock V6 Mustangs). It basically puts more power to the ground, doubles your traction from full-stop, & provides more control during high speed cornering.
Note: This feature comes standard in stock 8.8" Mustang GT Rear Ends. Optional/Aftermarket for 7.5" V6 Mustang models.
