No, I wouldn't say that a chip should be your last mod if (if you choose a chip over a tuner). I'm just saying that they're just impractical & far too limited compared to tuners.
Tuners are like handheld computers for your car. They tap into your car's onboard CPU & allow you to make adjustments (the same adjustments a chip will allow + many more). A Dyno shop technician can give you custom tunes with just a couple of Dyno runs. They're far more convenient & practical INHO & tend to hover around $360-$380 whereas chips are about $270 --
If you get a tuner from AM, they'll email you new custom tunes for the life of your
stang any time you buy a performance mod from them. I'm not endorsing AM...just giving an example of the convenience differences between adjusting a tuner yourself or professionally & mailing a chip after each Go-Mod.
