I know what the sound is from the engine, i am just curious as to what "knocking" is, if someone could explain that would be great!

Wow. I'm glad I checked out that article, because my engine was knocking and I didn't even realize it (I heard the sound, but didn't know what it was). It went away after I changed the oil and other fluids in my car but that was the first time I've done that since buying it - which means the dealer sold me the car without checking to make sure it was in working order.

I'm going to have to be sure to talk to them about that.
