I'm curious as to what you guys are paying on insurance for your cars. I've got a sneaking suspicion that I am getting a bad deal here.
First off, I am not the technical primary driver on my Mustang ($60 a month btw for liability only). My mom is on my car and I am on my step-dad's car. This is supposedly the cheaper way.
Currently I am on his 1998 Oldsmobile 88 with a salvage title. I will be 19 in less than a week (woohoo!) and I have been driving for three years. I have never been in an accident. I am a college student with good grades. I have had a steady job for two years. My insurance is $160 a month for liability only on that Olds. Before that I was on my moms 1967 F200 Ranger. I was paying $190 a month for that, liability only.
So what are you guys paying?

Me and my wife pay $90/month. That covers my wife's '97 Protege (liability) and full coverage on my '94 GT.

I'm not putting insurance on my 84 GT until it's finished, I'm feeling that me being 18 turning 19 in January that insurance is going to be up the butt price wise. But I've been driving for three years, no tickets, no accidents, good grades, I have a reliable job. So hopefully it'll be ok.

im 17 no accidents, 1 ticket but i took the DD course. my name is on the stang and its $120 a month, it was 80 but crap got screwed up and am now the main driver of the stang. this all for full coverage

I have my 99 v6 with a 2006 explorer xlt FULL coverage with 500 ded. Im 23 and my wife is 24. no points on records and she has an at fault accident last year. my accident has cleared (over 5 years)
Wife and I pay 176 a quarter combined... or about $59 a month.
I have some deal with my dad's business. My stang is in his name and we're both on the insurance. I pay for insurance on the stang. He put an old van that doesn't run on the insurance that he uses at the shop for pick up. He pays for the insurance on that. Because that thing is with my insurance, my dad's fifty two, I've never had an accident or a ticket, and I'm a straight A student, my insurance is only around $350 for six months, or roughly $60. And that's full coverage. You might want to look around for some better deals. $160 for only liability seems way high.
Key words here "you are 19", and "California", just assume sky high rates until you move to Arkansas and become about 40 and married
