Be aware that a good driver in a Civic si can beat a bad driver in a Mustang any time. I'm not saying you're a bad driver, but don't get overconfident. I've seen videos on youtube of si drivers soundly defeating bolt on sixers with crappy drivers in them.

yes, i agree on that one too. I mean like it or not some civic's with mods can be some what fast.. you should prob take the civic if its stock. But it if was not stock i wouldn't do it.

Yep, pretty hard to mess that up.

The video I saw the stang driver didn't seem like he was pushing his car that hard immediately off the line, and he was just barely being edged out by the Si. After about 2nd gear or so the Si started to pull ahead by a pretty wide margin.

I'm not too familiar with the engineering in the car itself, but being a four banger, if it was going to pull ahead that hard it should have done it off the line, not well into the drag. I wasn't in the driver's seat, so I don't know why it happened but a bigger engine should win in the long run if it can at least keep up off the line - from what I know. Perhaps the driver in the Mustang started to let off when he realized he was falling behind.

Good luck.

Default hey

oh i think i might of seen that video it was one of the new si right? well im pretty sure those come with the k20 engine wich give out about 200horses and because its lighter combine with wat u said might have been the reason why he lost like this bt my friends si has like 160 or 180 horses so i think i wont do too bad....
