Default Please Help 2001 Mustang v6

i have an 01 v6 and i am wanting to put duals on it my grandfather owns a muffler/repair/car shop and says he would just put straight throught pipes from the cats no mufflers what do you guys say about that

hope u live in the country.. gona b loud ur cats will quit it down a little but have u ever heard a 6 with glass packs when u get aroung 5 ur ear drums will blow so sounds like a good time id go for it u might lose some back presure though

He should be able to fab an H pipe, no cats as long as you have no emission test, and I would still put mufflers on there. Straights on a 6'er won't sound good and like mentioned, loud as hell.

If you do go with no mufflers, keep the cats or at least put on some high flows. Otherwise you are going to lose a lot of back pressure. No back pressure means no torque. No torque means slow car.
The cats will also keep it from being extremely poppy. It still will be very raspy and poppy but the cats do help.
