So I was driving in the grocery store parking lot and I accidentally drove into one of those grassy dividers in the middle of the parking lot. I looked and I didn't see any scratches or damage but could I have damaged anything under the body of the car since the V6 Mustang is so low to the ground? Thanks! In my defense it was dark and rainy out.
i wouldn't lose any sleep over it...that kind of thing sucks to have happen, but as long as nothing's squeeking, creaking, or leaking, you should be fine. it doesnt sound like you hit it hard.
Haha no. I use to hit curbs all the time in my Rav4 but that was so high off the ground that I didn't worry about it. I didn't hear anything break or scratch when I hit it so I hope that everything is all right. Ill have more of a look at it in the morning when its bright out.

I Wouldnt Worry About Damage Under The Car Unless it Was On your Driver Side And you Rode Up Unto The curb Pretty Bad...But Definatly Keep An Eye Out On Your allignment And Listen For Wheel Bearings......it is A Mustang So You Should Be Fine...But You Never Know..
Thanks for the help guys. I need to be careful with my new car. With my Rav4 I would drive over curbs and grassy dividers and not give it a second thought but I need to be really careful now. I use to drive over sidewalks and curbs all the time to get out of parking spots easier even if it was illegal but I can't do that now. The front bumper wasn't scratched at all so I doubt I did any under body damage and it was an extremely gentle "impact" and I didn't really hear any scraping or crunching sounds. The car is Built Ford Tough so I don't think I need to worry.
Yeah, i second the alignment and bearings! A few years back, I hit a couple of ducks... yeah, I said it... a couple of ducks! I ran over them as they were crossing and that screwed up my alignment and even bent my cats. In other words, something little mights cause a problem on your car. Just listen out for the little things abnormal!

A few years back, in my more reckless days I was texting while driving after having had some drinks. Needless to say I got into an accident - I hit the dividing island on a road at about 35 to 40 mph head on with the driver's side tires, popped both tires on the driver's side and put a nasty dent into the front left rim which hit the curb first. The rim's seal was close to being compromised, but other than having to replace the tires the collision never gave me any problems. This was all in a 2001 Ford Focus.
That's just one case, but it leads me to believe that even a hard collision won't necessarily damage any components of the car in a serious way.
Come to think of it, on that same car I ran over a curb at an intersection (when I say this was my more reckless days, I mean I was a flat out dumb***), and still nothing serious went wrong with the car. My sister is driving the Focus to this day and hasn't had to fix the alignment or anything.
I would still have the dealer or someone else poke around and see if anything was damaged.
