I have Magnaflow, but if I had it to do again I would get the Flowmaster. The super 40 actually. The Super 44 is a bit more mellow from what I understand. The magnaflows are designed to be quiet at idle and they are. My car is seriously built but you wouldn't know it to hear it idle. When you get on it, it gets loud though. The Magnaflows are polished which is nice if you are ever going to see them but Flowmaster is still king in my book. Can I ask why those are the two options you are considering and not Borla or spintech or SLP?

Not for nothin' StangMan, but you seem to have started a half-dozen or so threads asking pretty much the same questions... Are you unhappy with the responses you are getting or is this a competition to see who can start the most threads?

Not sure who posted this link before, but I appreciated it. Here is where I have been going to evaluate different setups:

www.mustangexhaust.com

Mine is a little loud and definetly too much on any trip over 60 min. I am looking for deep muscle sound at idle, quite at 2-3K, loud when getting on it.

I currently have Full length tube headers feeding an off road X pipe (no cats). Not sure the muffler.

No prob, StangMan, wanted to help you out with your exhaust questions, but didn't know which post to respond to....

Also, if there WAS a contest, I wanted to know about it (You can't win if you don't play).

There is a comprehensive list of exhaust related questions on the main page with a gazillion recommendations, I used it extensively when making my decision and ultimately ended up with a divorced-duals setup done through a local muffler shop.

Let us know what you decide on, and post some pics of the finished product, will ya?

Look under "Forum Tools", about a dozen lines above your thread.
