Hello everybody, I am thinking about buying a new exhaust system for my v6 and i had a question that i need answered because it could save me some money. If i wanted to put a new dual exhaust system on it, what would be required? do i need to buy the dual exhaust conversion kit? if you guys could give me the basics of what i need that would be great thanks!

in my opintion having the muffler shop do all the work is your best bet. Now true duals will be easiest, its just one muffler and piping for each headers. then adding a mid pipe like and H or X is another way to get duels. H is deeper of a sound where X is raspy.

mufflers are the hard part, because they all sound different because of the H or x pipe, or true duels. im not going to go into this part so youll just have to research it . good hunting

Thanks a lot man! i was looking at this and i will most likely get it but do you know if catalytic converters are required in new jersey? they most likely are, and if they are then i will not be able to get this because of the o/r x-pipe :'(

yeah cats are required in nj.. pypes does make a catted x-pipe for the v6 which is basically the offroad x with 2 cats supplied ive seen the catted system floating around.. here ya go

cats are always required, it just depends if the state checks your vehicle or not

im in kansas and my mustang is illegal, but no one knows because we dont have inspections!
