if you do get it make sure you port match ur upper intake manifold. Some people say that it doesnt give you any hp

but whenever i got mine i know it gave me a few and also gave me a slightly better throttle response

well since ur going to be getting a 56mm throttle body. Ur going to have to port ur upper intake manifold. Make sure is 56mm in Dia.

this is wat i mean

And as for the thermostat. Yes it did help me out. Since the engine is running cooler its getting better performance (no gain in hp though)

Throttle body is something that should be on the END of your list of mods, it's not really going to give you power its just good for listing all your mods at the bottom of your sig and saying you've done this. Its an expensive paperweight on a stock/almost stock engine.

Okay, here's my take:

Aftermarket TB's are supposed to improve throttle response over stock. Port matching helps, but it's not a cure-all for a slow breathing motor. Bang for buck mod? Mediocre at best.......

yes yes and no

no to the bang for buck mod (best bang for buck would have to be gears/tlok)

a handheld tuner is better cuz u can adjust some parameters yourself, read CEL's. with a chip if you needed to change a tune or anything you would have to send it somewhere to have it redone.. tuner u can just have it emailed to you and you can load it yourself.. i thought it was worth it..

for me the biggest change that i noticed was in the shift points and firmness.. but i suppose thats just because my exhaust isnt really much more free flowing over stock so it didnt make as much power as im sure it could have.. so i guess im the wrong person to ask.. i mean i know that the car feels a little faster but that wasnt the biggest thing i noticed
