Look at the top right of the screen. There should be a search feature. Know it, use it, love it.
This subject has been discussed literally hundreds of times.
Yes, it is possible. You will need basically a whole donor car.
Engine, wiring harness, computer, fuel system, transmission, rear end, suspension and lot of spare cash.
It is not worth it in the slightest unless you are installing a 4v Cobra/Mach 1 engine.

On a 96 and OLDER it is definitely worth the trouble to swap in a 5.0L drivetrain since there is a dramatic performance gain and the swap is FAR easier than a 97+ V6 to 4.6L V8. The 95-96 cars will pretty much accept the 5.0L with little work. Pretty sure all you need is a new harness/ECU and maybe a few other odds and ends but it will bolt right in.
If I owned a 96 or older, I would not hesitate to do a 5.0L swap. You don't gain much going from a 3.8L Split Port V6 to a 2V 4.6L. If I was gonna take on the nightmare of putting a V8 in my 2002, I would only do it with a 4V 4.6L or maybe a 5.4L if I really need to abuse myself.
