Everyone... Please use Spell check and Grammar Check when posting, some of you people out there may not realize how difficult it is to read and understand what you are trying to communicate. It may be that you are in a rush, or you are tired, or even drunk, or that you didn't take much English courses in high school. What ever the reason, it makes things difficult for others to comprehend what you are attempting to express or say. Since everyone here is intelligent enough to use the computer and get online, it should not be too difficult to check your grammar. 90% of the computers sold today come with some kind of word or document editing software. For instance all my computers came with Microsoft Word. Most of these programs have Spelling and Grammar check abilities. For user's with Microsoft Word, all you need to do is type your thoughts and then hit the key marked "F7". This will then start the spelling and grammar check process which will then make several suggestions on how to correct what appears to be wrong. Once you have completed the spelling and grammar check, then you can copy and past your thoughts. This will greatly help the rest of us comprehend what you are posting. We do forgive for little errors every now and then but there are a few people that seem to express ideas and thoughts at a third grade level. If you feel insulted... remember the saying "If the shoe fits wear it".

i'm used to chattin on the net.. i will spell stuff like -nite, rite, later, enuf, laff, makes it easier to read IMO...The thing for me that makes it hard to read is when it doesn't make sense and it is in all CAPS..
No, i understand where he is coming from. Me personally i am a great typer and can type fast, but that does not stop me from being able to type correctly. If i make a error i usually spot it and backspace to correct it.
Not saying names but there are two people i know that make posts that really are hard to comprehend, and i bet that is what he is referring to.

Seriously, there are so many run-on paragraphs on forums that it makes reading even a well written post hard. White space helps break things up and actually speeds up reading. Use it, it is your friend!

I like how people do not use any punctuation or capitalization at all well some people dont and they never use periods and just keep typing like i am right now it really gets annoying because people just type as if they were talking to you yet capitalizing words and using commas makes things sound a lot different too when reading it yea okay im done rambling on with this long rong on sentence or run on paragraph whichever you choose it to be

lol point taken, thats soo hard to read.. If they use periods and stuff and has atleast decent spelling i think its alright
In my opinion it shows how educated you are because you are presenting yourself in a more professional manner. And the people whom do not care about it, well that says something about the individual, that they do not care if they are typing like a 3rd grader or not. =)

I'll let you guys in on a little secret...I'm a writer. I just do accounting to make money while I'm waiting to make it big! ( I'm working on a series of childrens books) I come here to unwind and has found that taking a break from writing properly is very relaxing to me. I am one of those that tends to use excessive puncuation. I find that it helps set the mood of the post since we don't really know each other, it's kindof like pauses in your speech.
