It would have to be a set for a V6. GT headers will have 4 holes and tubes for the 4 cylinders on each side of the motor.

V6 engines have three exhaust openings on each side of the motor. 3+3=V6
V8 engines have four exhaust openings on each side of the motor. 4+4=V8
Each cylinder gets it's own header tube. That being said, GT headers WILL fit a V6 Mustang.... with a lot of fabrication!

"Ghostrider..... this is Mustang, requesting a flyby..."

After a clock of 108 in a 55, the trooper said "Boy... I been waiting on you all day"... I grinned and said "Well, I got here as fast as I could!!"

and as someone pointed out in another thread you might gain 10hp with longtubes...save your money and get something else...I'd recommend saving and building a turbo system for your V6

if you get longtubes then u need a shorty midpipe.. then that should connect to your cat-back and you're all set.. if you dont get long tubes u cant use a shorty midpipe.. you'd need a full length midpipe but there arent many around for v6s

They may only add 10hp on a stock vehicle, but the more air flow (cam, heads, intakes, supercharger, cold air, ect. . . .) you put through the engine, the better performance you'll get out of you long tubes campared to a set of stock headers. They will yield better gains the more you do to your vehicle.

what about an off road mid pipe the system i was talking about and shorty headers, my question is, is an off road pipe short, or is it regular length

yes you can do shorty headers custom midpipe and your catback.. offroad just means it has no catalytic converters it has no bearing on whether or not its shorty or full length. you can easily tell the difference between a shorty mid-pipe and a full length. a shorty one will basically lay flat on the ground with inlets and outlets facing straight out and is fairly short.. a full length will have the two pipes on one end coming up to where the headers would attach and is significantly longer. make sense?

u could get a set of long tube headers. then have a shop make the h or x o/r or not and have them put loudmouth mufflers on it.

**i thought the cats helped make it a little deeper sounding? correct me if im wrong. i remeber hearing it somewere.

They don't make it necessarily deeper, but they cut out some of the raspyness. But they also make it quieter. Mine is o/r. I know people say this alot, but at idle and low rpms, most people mistake my car for an 8 (most don't have a trained ear though).
