Anybody know what the weight is for a 6 Speed in both? I know the hp and tq are about on par. I'm just curious to see which has the edge. Mustang 305hp 280tq Camaro 304hp 273tq
The Mustang is A LOT lighter... will walk on the v6 Camaro

Just doing a quick search. I couldn't find the curb weight of a 2011. but a 2010 is 3,401 lbs. Factor in larger rims, smaller engine, more aluminum parts and larger tranny. It's safe to say the 2011 v6 will weigh roughly 3,450 to 3,550 lbs.
Sick yeah i couldn't find any weight specs. But i figured it would be even lighter than the current sixer mustang with the newer parts. haha also your about motortrend they aren't that consistent but then again none of the mags are.
i wonder if the 3.7L originaly threw out 300hp and ford tinkered with the little things in the engine just to get that 1 extra hp over the camaro, lol wouldnt be surprised

<----- bunnies back.. just cause judi asked so nicley
mustangs are lighter but that's a good and bad thing. one draw back is that mustangs do not have much weight in the rear end area, which a lot of ppl complain about. but it helps with the awesome burnouts that we all love

The Mustang's light rear is great for backroad fun The heavier 8.8 rear end swap and trunk battery relocation kit while keeping the spare tire help a bit for weight distribution as does carbon fiber front panels and accessories elimination, but I prefer keeping it as light as possible...

If I need weight back there I just throw some 40lb salt bags in the trunk.
The 2010 V6 Mustang is only 1/2 a second slower to 60 then the 2010 V6 Camaro so the 2011 V6 should blow the Camaro away! lol
