And Saleen tried selling a V-6 Sport back in 94/95. Not many sold, Saleen didn't do much for the cars, wheels, springs, shocks, struts, dual exhaust, and a rear wing that did not fit right. I think that is all we could get. The cars were never numbered.

And
"Or really technical and you take it to the dyno and GT's have 243.3 and v6s have 178.9
or maybe there is just a signigiant noticible gap that satisfies both drivers lol"
That's RWHP, so doesn't count.
where did you get those V6 numbers?? Most 5-speed 99+ cars run that with ALL the bolt ons. chip and everything.
stock they are normally 150-160rwhp. look at v6power's dyno page.
that's neither here nor there. they won't make a v6 mustang with that kinda stock hp within the next couple years. I'd be willing to bet money!
let's stick with what the manufactures say anyway. We could debate rwhp till we are blue in the face. dyno error, car error, freak motors, all that crap. the average that ford gives us is good enough for this conversation.

I just got MyFord magazine from Ford today and it has a pretty interesting article inside. It might explain why Ford keeps the horsepower so low.
"Ford research shows that most motorists rarely reach the engine speed needed for peak output (about 5,000 RPMs). In fact, drivers usually operate their engines at less than 2,500 RPMs 95% of the time. Because of this, it's torque statistics-not horsepower-that are the best measure of your vehicle's power and efficieny.--Chuch Tannert"
Sounds like Ford is more interested in high torque and low horsepower cars.
bye the way guys the saleen v6 mustang had 220 horse power. It cost less then 22 grand.Weighed less then the standard GT.Called the v6 sport saleen. So yeah it was a performance car.Supercharged though
