There was only one Saleen V6 with a supercharger, and that car no longer exist. All the rest just had the suspension upgrade, wheels, tires, wing, and graphics.

IF they do go to the smaller engine, which I doubt they do, they won't make it so close to the GT. The GT is their flagship, they'd never let the V6 get close to that. last I heard IF they did go with the smaller v6 it would only be 220hp.
besides that the 4.0L is better IMO. There is no replacement for displacement.
replacement for displcement=boost
boosted v6 will anilate a gt for bout the same price difference for buying a gt.

I recently drove an explorer with the 4.0. It feels pretty good.
could be the 3.73 gears more than anything .. .

My mom has an 02 Explorer 4.0 and it is dog slow. But it weighs a ton. The 4.0 Stang should run the same 1/4 times as a stock 3.8. It has 10 more hp and torque but weighs 100lbs more. The slightly higher rear gearing of the 05's might be the difference maker.

For as heavy as the explorer is, I expected to run like the 3.5L Malibu I drove a couple of weeks ago.
It definitely feels better than the Chevy 3.5L and the Duratec v6 in the Cougar .. .

I'm sitting at just under $75 a month with full coverage. Twenty years of no tickets or violations counts for something. Plus I only drive three miles to work on city streets.
i was paying $189/month for two cars, now i pay $129 for my stang and i'm 20yo.
