can't stall that high, i just sity and burn rubber.

Now by Bog do you mean I go up to say 20 mph drop to 10 mph and then back up?

I'll try a longer line lock see if I don't bog out if that's what you mean.

1) that's weird . . . something's not right in your stall converter, I think . ..

2) yes, that's a bog . . .

3) It's powerbraking. A line lock is a fairly expensive piece of equipment that pros use . . .

It's justa stock AODE Torque Converter i don't expect much more than that from it.

tried it again tonight can only get up to 1900 and I still bog

Didn't you say your tranny was replaced?

Yeah I replaced my trans with a remanufactured Transmission straight from Ford.

My First one was for a 94 GT, so it had the wrong gears, unless that messed something up, I gave it back to Ford and they put a 3.8's AODE Trans in there.

I dunno . . . the fact you can spin your rears at 1900 RPM is good, but I think your stall coinverter is locking up prematurely . . .

I'd shoot MustangTK a PM.

My 98 wouldn't spin until around 3000 RPM . . .

really... Hmm Cuz that would be great i wouldnt lose much off of that. Now sometimes when it's raining out and I gun it for a lil fun I can spin over 1900 for sure till i catch traction. It's weird, but Im not gonna try to get this car beat up not interested in too much speed out of it anymore. I'll buy a GT next year and find out the meaning of speed

I havn't seen MustangTK for a long time is he on some other AFM forum?

Why does everybody think "SPEED" is exclusive to GT's?!!??!!!?

you only get 1900 rpm's from your Mustang? Or , that's when you wheels start to burn? Water and bald tires will do that.

You have to fix it , man.....Now we all NEED to know 'what the hell is the matter with your V6 that you would start turning on us and jib-jabbering that GT BABBLE NONSENSE!

No i mean My engine is old.. well new but old technology and the v8 is just stronger all around rear end etc. It can hold more no doubt. Im just saying if I really want a car i dont need to worry about for speed or upgrades I'll buy an 05 GT, a v6 is great though I love it. I just don't think mine is the fash mustang automatic and all it wasn't destined to go fast. I've had about alll i can have with the v6 stang, I love it thought it's a great car in my opinion it's time to explore Fords v8's A v6 can no doubt take on some GTs but with modifications and I kinda don't want to worry about it anymore. like to keep it stock and fun I dropped two engines into my car and it's not getting much more fun lol. right now i drive like this first gear to 1500 rpms OD off and just nice calm riding that's what i like about the car good looking at anyspeed. but that GT I will get will have some more pep, more pep that it has MORE than twice the power of my car. haha I dunno i just want to try all Ford has to offer with the stang, maybe if I hit a lil bigger i'll get a COBRA

I occationally take on GT's.........and win.......No mods......maybe they're just shutting down early cause they can't believe they're losing?.....it's not safe on the street anyways. Where I live , we have "drag strip like" Blvds. everywhere in this rural American town so it's quite frequent to have someone roll up and rev at you.
Especially teen-age fools in their GT's........their race technique exists soley in their right foot.

you take on 99 + gts? and win with no mods? or 98 and below.....big difference. i would think that if you shift good and they have an auto 98 or older then i believe you....other wise the horsepower difference went up about 45 HP after 99 for the gt and 40 for sixes so youre lookin at a 190 v6 (im assuming thats yours in your avatar) against a 260 hp GT (thats with no mods stock vs stock) i would have to SEE you bridge that gap.

Oh and mustang dewd, ive decided to skip right past the GT and go straight to cobra. i drove one and i have to have it. hell i figured if im gonna get an 8 might as well go all out. i MIGHT be able to snag a 03 if not then almost certainly a 99 or 01 and if not that then definately 98 or below. (easily in my price range every single paycheck i get goes into savings.)

yes you would be correct Nooba. But remember there are an aweful lot of people who don't know what the hell to do with what they have. It's sort of like being John Holms in a coma. You got it. But you don't know how to use it. Even with a +99 model. Do you accept that?

yeah those 98 - GT's can rip if you know how to drive.

but that's aweome Nooba, "Im skipping the GT and going to the cobra" Classic line i love it
I want a cobra too, but that insurance is pushing it and if I had a cobra I wouldn't take it out in the rain and ****.

I would buya GT wait till warrenties go and start some nice N/A v8 that will rip Cobras for fun

Hell if I'm going to go with an 8 I might as well make it go big myself
personally I plan to get the GT to work on a straight Ford V8, did a lot of work with v6 engines and I want to try out a raw v8, I wanted a 5.0 but I don't have time to repair I want time to upgrade
