Default Got my mr. Clean Auto Dry Car wash kit today!

and might I say i never felt so deprived and idiotic in my entire life.

Here I am with my car in the driveway with an instruction manual on how to wash my car.

Reading it here.... rinse... Soap with sponge... MR CLEAN AUTO DRY!

So Here I am in the shade which is abou 10 ft by 10 ft of my houses shadow lol Im loading up the cartirdge inserting th soap and Im hooking up the hose. Looked like I was preparing for extended undersea diving. then I went at it... rinse... soap wiped the soap around with a sponge.... then I flicked it on the mr. clean auto dry and things took a turn....

the thing started flipping out it was whistling and I was like OH **** IT"S GONNA BLOW!

lil mist comes shooting out... and I was all "whew" lol sprayed it around my car, picked up my handy lil owners manual and it said to sit and watch the car dry..............
I dunno about you but I don't have the kind of time. but it beats taking the energy to dry with a shammee..

So it's drying right now while I decided to share my lil experience with humiliation today but hey i got 5 bucks off on the kit

Dude, I purchased one of these too about 2 weeks ago. I've done both of my cars and must say it was a boat load easier to wash the cars. I didn't need a bucket or have to keep dunking my mitt in dirty water. The presure was much harder than when I use a typical nozel on my hose. The only thing is that I may not have done the last step as much as I should have with the Mustang. There were big water dropplets on the hood and I did need to do a quick bit of towel drying. Our Murano dried instantly with no spots. I use to do my car in the shade like you are suppose to but now I think I'll do it in the sun to help the drying process. Now what am I going to do with all this other car wash soap I have?

I'd been using it for a while. And if you hate drying like me, this is a great thing. Just means more time to wax and polish.

My wife has been looking at those for a while now. I think they are neat, but always end up doing the “by hand” thing. It is kind of like brushing down your pony. It is a bonding thing I guess.

Then if I don’t feel like drying the car by hand, I will “highway dry” it.

I may pick one up at some point though……

Definetly works well, even on my two black cars. It's exspensive and you have to refill the filters after every three washes...five bucks a pop. I won't use on the Stang as I have heard it is a very harsh soap, and takes all the wax off. So for the beaters..it's great.

Really Jullian? Hmm... changes some things.
maybe I'll leave the Gun for the Buick and Truck. U want to just wash my car down and use regular soap but use the auto dry feature not because I neccesarly hate drying but to make less lines on my car from hand drying.

and Hartley it is a bonding thing ^^ I picked mine up for 15 bucks a shopright not a bad deal.

I thought the filter lasts 10 times though O_o I bought a psare just in case when I was there.

I didn't hear any like that. The reason I bought the thing is due to reading reviews in both Motor Trend and a Mustang magazine.

Looking at www.autodry.com their FAQ states:
Q: Does it leave a film behind? Does it affect the polish or the wax?
A: Mr. Clean AutoDry doesn't leave behind a film, just a thin layer of the Dry Rinse Polymer molecules that are replenished each time the car gets washed. These do not strip the wax, or harm the paint or clearcoat in any way.

Hopefully there's no false advertising here.

On a quick search here is a consumer affairs review:
We're not convinced Mr Clean Auto Dry does not remove wax. So if that's important to you, do your own comparison. But it does leave a spot-free shine, is pretty easy to use, and not too expensive. So overall, we give Mr. Clean Auto Dry a C+.

it left spots on my windsheild... but i forgot the second rinse so that may have been the problem.

Now that I've used this thing several times, I can say that it works great on our Nissan Murano. On the Mustang there are a few sections like the hood and the trunk where the water pools and I cannot get the unit to mist the water off. I find that I still have to dry these sections or spots will appear like I said above. Kinda sucks but whatcha gonna do?
