Soon to be join'n the V6 family

Hiya gang, Im soon to be joining the V6 fam with my 05 deluxe coupe. I ordered her in Legend lime... I used this pic of a GT to get the idea I've had in my head all along down on some form of paper, I tried to modify the grill to make it look like the 6, and I removed the rear spoiler... check her out and tell me whatchya think

im jealous already. what timeis she supposed to get in? also ive heard that the new v6's will keep up or even beat the pre 99 gt's....you might have to go check that out :thumbup

Raymo: Congrats on your new toy! Its gonna be sweet!

Newbastang: It seems the 05 v6's are gonna pump out 200hp with 235tq weighing in at about 3300lbs. Compared to the 97' GT at 215hp with 285tq it looks like it should be able to keep up pretty nicley! ....how ever me coming from the "dark side" I never understood why Ford put a 215hp v8 engine in their GT...

anyway, congrats on the buy and hope you enjoy your car very much. i'm not a fan of the new model but...it looks good. beside no grill lights, the v6 has a different front bumper than the one in the picture too... and it sits higher, and the wheels are different.

I was told 8 - 10 weeks when I ordered it, which should be late Oct first week of Nov

. I definately cant wait to test the 0-60 on it.

Stangcrazy I'm well aware of the body differences between the V6 and the V8, I've studied both cars, I love them

I just loved the front pose of that car as apposed to the V6 pics I have of the legend lime. Thats why I deleted the flood lights, and reworked the front intake to make it smaller like the 6. I know the wheels are different. I ordered the wheels that arent even in the pictures, the ones without that lil spinner deal. If I can help it I'd like to get some older styled muscle car wheels go'n on there.

that barely surpasses the 04 V6 with perhaps a tiny bit more weight. They'll probably be about the same with a tad more torque.

When will they get the 05's in? One of my friends told me his girlfriend is going to get one when they come out, probably beginning/mid october.

everytime I test drive a car the salemen come back with a load in their pants! Hey what can I say? I want to know what the damn thing does!
